You can image how excited I was when the light changed and the Bow River turned pink- just for a moment. Plein air painters live for these moments.

Plein air season is upon us. I love going outside to paint. It's how I started painting over 40 years ago. I am happy to share these paintings with you. I also wanted to offer my clients an inexpensive way to collect my work.

These paintings are part of the Artist Pledge Initiative, which started in the UK. When I have sold $1000 worth of work, I pledge to buy another artist’s work. This is a fantastic way to celebrate and support artists. I will use the rest of the money to buy paint and canvases. Your support of this project keeps me in paint!

These 8 x 10 paintings are $225 Canadian, which includes shipping in Canada and the US.

They are artist grade acrylic on unstretched canvas in order to save on shipping costs. I present each in a polymer sleeve, with foam-core backing. Once you receive the painting, you can take them to your favourite framers.

I post my summer plein air work first on Instagram and then here for sale. First come, first served.

Once you pay through Squarespace, I will ship them to you directly.

This is a great way to start an art collection as the pieces are inexpensive.
